Steve continues the tradition of his father, Daniel M. Neiditz, and grandfather, Moses J. Neiditz who, in 1925, founded M.J. Neiditz & Company, a full-service commercial real estate investment, development and management firm in Hartford, CT. For three generations, the company has managed an extensive portfolio of properties.
Much of Downtown Hartford’s post World War II office development was led by the Neiditz Company including the construction of Hartford’s first centrally air-conditioned office structure. In the mid twentieth century, Neiditz was also among the pioneers in development of “modern” strip centers. The company and its affiliates are industry leaders with vast experience in owning and managing a portfolio in excess of two million square feet of commercial property while consistently maintaining high occupancy rates.
As President and Chief Executive Officer, Steve spearheaded the firm’s investment in automation while focusing on the substantial growth of its third party management business on behalf of both private and institutional clients. In addition, Steve’s expertise in retail real estate, and long standing relationships with some of the nations leading tenants, has contributed to a successful track record of numerous development projects. With Figure Eight Properties, Steve continues to operate substantial holdings in Connecticut while pursuing new management and acquisition opportunities throughout the Northeast, Florida and Texas.
Steve graduated from Union College in Schenectady, N.Y. He is a Member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and serves on the Board of Directors of The National Conference for Community and Justice. Steve resides in West Hartford, CT with his wife and two children.
